Many have built their whole persona off of their zodiac sign, encouraging them to pursue specific interests and paths of life. Recently, NASA has discovered that the Babylonians made a mistake in the calendar. There are actually 13 signs instead of 12!
The babylonians made a mistake when they were making their calendar almost 30,000 years ago. Instead of being correct, they decided it would look better if it was neat. So they took out the 13th month and leave it with just 12.
Zodiac signs can play vital roles in the lives of those who believe in them. Some people even go as far as thinking that the zodiac signs are masculine and feminine, allowing that to form his or her identity. The masculine signs are Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius, whereas the feminine signs are Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces.
The new sign is called Ophiuchus. This sign is depicted by a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. The traits associated with the Ophiuchus are: rebellious, secretive, seekers of knowledge and holders of hidden wisdom.
All of the zodiac signs have since inherited new dates. Everybody’s sign has changed from what it previously was, giving people new personality traits in accordance with their sign.
Not everyone has taken the news lightly. For example, I asked my journalism teacher if her sign has changed at all. She had known herself to be Taurus her whole life and recently become an Aries. This has shaken her whole life up as she struggles to find her new identity.
