The 2014 Basketball season is underway! As games approach, the Lady Bobcats are getting ready with a brand new head coach, and a chance for a better season.
Joshua Brannon has played basketball since he was seven years old. His love, passion, and obsession are what made him want to call himself a Bobcat.
The lady Bobcats have been conditioning since the summer. “To the fundamentals of Basketball, they are better everyday.” Brannon said. “Constantly improving, constantly getting better.”
“The upper classmen as a whole are going to be exciting to watch.” Coach Brannon stated that an MVP couldn’t be individually be chosen. “Any player out of the upper classmen could legitimately score 20 points any night.”
The Lady Bobcats played in two practice games on Saturday. The first game they played was against David Crockett High; they scored a total of 32 points, but fell short to a loss of 38-32. Next, the Lady Bobcats played Clinton High, only scoring 28 points, causing them to lose the game 36-28.
